Occupant la majeure partie du territoire continental norvégien, la Norvège du Nord va de la côte du Helgeland, au sud, jusqu’à la pointe extrême de l’Europe, près du cap Nord. Elle englobe également l'archipel du Svalbard, situé à mi-chemin entre la Norvège et le pôle Nord. La région abrite une nature sauvage intacte, des baleines et est connue pour son excellente cuisine à base de poissons et fruits de mer.
Vous y trouverez également quelques villages de pêcheurs, composés de cabanes aux couleurs pimpantes, les rorbuer. Découvrez la culture de cette côte au gré d’une sortie en mer, au long de la route panoramique Kystriksveien, ou encore à bord d'un express côtier Hurtigruten. La région est également marquée par l’histoire et la culture des Samis, qui forment la population indigène. La toundra norvégienne, dans le Finnmark, est le berceau de leur histoire, de leur patrimoine et accueille toujours leur mode de vie.
