3. La saison du skrei
À cette époque de l’année, le cabillaud ou skrei arrive en masse depuis la mer de Barents pour frayer le long des côtes de Norvège du Nord.
Les petits villages de pêcheurs des Lofoten et des Vesterålen sont en effervescence de février à avril. Les poissons sont ensuite pendus sur des séchoirs verticaux pour obtenir le tørrfisk ou stockfisch.
Participez à une sortie de pêche touristique et dormez dans une confortable rorbu, la cabane de pêcheur traditionnelle. Et souvenez-vous qu’à la saison du skrei, on sert de succulents plats à base de morue dans tout le pays !

11. Ski de fond
La légende dit que tous les Norvégiens naissent des skis aux pieds. C’est certes un peu exagéré, mais il n’en reste pas moins qu’en hiver, vous verrez de nombreux Norvégiens faire du ski de fond sur des pistes fraîchement damées.
Aucune crainte à avoir si vous avez un niveau débutant : les cours ne manquent pas.

Østre Toten – cross-country skiing from Karidalen About Karidalen - Østre Toten Skilag (ØTS) Skisenter Karidalen is located in Østre Toten municipality, approx. 12 km south of Gjøvik. This is one of the largest and best biathlon arenas in the country, and offers four beautiful cross-country ski trails of various lengths. There are four way-marked ski trails in the area: • 1 km white • 3 km red • 5 km blue • 7 km yellow (marked as 8 km, but the correct is 7 km.) This introduction will give you a solid start to reach your goals. Learn how to plan alpine adventures and risk assessment. Learn how to adjust and use of crampons and alpine axe. Learn how to stop a dangerous fall in steep terrain. Learn how to attach your skis and axe in a safe and practical manner to your backpack Vital first-aid skills and routines for a safe journey in the Norwegian mountain home The trainin starts with an explanation about what you are about to learn, safety instruction for the activity, and what is required of an individual. Crampons are adjusted to the boots. Departure to a nearby and suitable area to start the tour on ski before crampons are applied. Techniques on how to best venture on the skis are taught. We will practice in falling techniques, how to use your axe to slide and brake. Safety routines for venturing in the terrain is being practiced as well. We also go through first-aid skills that you need to know, and how to act if an accident should occur.
