Family Activity Farm - Langedrag Nature Park Langedrag Nature Park offers accommodation throughout the year. Here you can participate in a number of activities on the farm or enjoy a peaceful hike alone among beautiful mountains. We can offer you splendid and extensive cross-country skiing and hiking terrain, with trips starting at 1,000 meters above sea level. We have nice and cosy rooms with bunk beds and all rooms have washbasins. There are 1, 2, 3 and 4-person rooms with shower and toilet in the corridor. Some rooms have private bathrooms. All stays areall-inclusive. During a weekend at Langedrag Nature Park you can partake in everything that happens on the farm. It may be dairy work with goat milking, or one can participate in guided tours and children can take part in pony riding. Otherwise all the animals live outdoors and most of them appreciate a bit of patting and cuddling. Particularly the goat kids long for some company and appreciate any attention they get. A weekend at Langedrag Nature Park begins with dinner on Friday between 17:30 and 19:30. Afterwards there is a short briefing for the guests and programme information for the weekend. Saturday breakfast is served at. 09:00. At breakfast we also make a packed lunch. Dinner on Saturday is usually served at. 17:30. Sunday breakfast is at 09:00. RørosGalåvolden Gård - Farm shop
If you stop by our farm during the summer, you can meet some calves and curious hens out by the farmyard. Galåvolden Gård is a modern farm specializing in production of eggs, milk, meats and other farm-fresh products. Additionally, there is milk and meat production through Galåen Samdrift, a multi-farm cooperative. Delicious farm fare such as Gårdsis (a frozen treat), Røroskake (a delicious cheesecake), Rørosost (cheese) and other cured meats are produced here. Our products are sold in our shop, and served for groups of visitors by reservation. Galåvolden Gård is located 8 km (13 miles) southwest of Røros town centre, and is signposted along Rv.30. We are open during the daytime and other times when people are present at the farm. Extended opening hours in July.

Welcome to Nilsstua farm in Hurdal. Here you can take part in alpaca walking and buy unique products and yarns from our own alpacas. At the farm you will meet Ola Bjerke and Maiken Tømta. A cohabiting couple who at the turn of the year 2018, together with 3 dogs, took over Ola's family farm where the production of roughage was the operation of the farm. At Nilsstua, production of hay is still taking place, but ever since Maiken and Ola took over in 2018, they have wanted to expand - and in 2019 the first alpacas moved in. They have become part of the family at Nilsstua. Alvin and the gang are calm and very special animals with a lot of personality that brings joy and positive energy into everyday life on the farm. Much of the reason why the choice fell on alpacas was fiber production - a luxurious fiber that is spun into yarn, in addition to their calm nature. The farm focuses on breeding animals with good fiber quality and with full control of the entire process so that the animals have the best possible. Now, on the other hand, it is desired that more people get to experience how beautiful the alpacas are and get to know them better up close. Here you can take part in alpaca walking and buy unique products and yarns from our own alpacas. You will find us 1 hour north of Oslo. Tradition oblige, les moutons, vaches et chèvres norvégiens prennent toujours des « vacances d'été » obligatoires, généralement de mai à fin août. Ces fermes d’estive se composent de petites cabanes traditionnelles.

Allez dans un café à la ferme pour savourer un café, des gaufres et des produits laitiers fermiers (crème aigre, beurre frais, fromage à pâte brune et autres délicieux fromages) servis avec du pain ou des tartines croustillantes maison fraîchement cuits. Les enfants raffolent également du caramel fabriqué à partir du lait de chèvre. L’épaisse herbe tendre norvégienne contribue à un lait riche en qualités nutritives et en saveurs.

Prestholt Geitost is located at 1242 meters above sea level near Hallingskarvet, partially within Hallingskarvet National Park. Established in 1980, the family business started producing Ekte Geitost in 1990 at their newly purchased mountain farm, Prestholt. Today, they have expanded their production to include goat meat, goat salami, caramel, and chocolates at their home farm, Rudningen in Hol. The cheese dairy has moved to the former Joker grocery store in Hol town center. Hol Ysteri and local food store is located in Hol town center, offering an up-close view of cheese production and aging. It is part of the Prestholt Geitost family business, known for producing world-class cheese. The local food store features cheeses from across the Ostebygda region as well as imported varieties. You can also purchase goat meat here. Hol Ysteri shares a building with the rural bistro, Stundo. A nica and easy tour on bike in the area is around Holsfjorden, there is a whole year round walk from the centre up to the diffrent farms. They are members and active participants in the Bondens marked in Oslo and Drammen, as well as Bondens Torg in Kongsberg. The 3rd generation of cheese makers now runs the farm, mountain pasture, and production, with the 4th generation helping out. A popular hiking suggestion near Prestholtseter is the famous Sherpa stairs. It's a easier, scenic loop with fewer elevation changes. There's a toll road up to Prestholtseter near Hallingskarvet; pay on p-norge.no within 48 hours. Leave your car and use an (electric) bike to ride up the mountain. Prestholt Geitost has been producing cheese since the 1920s at Prestholtstølen, located at 1242 meters above sea level at the foot of Hallingskarvet. The Stenberg family moved to Rudningen farm in 1989 and began operating a mountain pasture and cheese production the following year. Today, they have around 250 dairy goats that move to the mountains in summer. The brown cheese is made at Prestholt, while the rest of the high-quality goat milk is transported to Tim Reidar at Hol Ysteri where 11 types of white cheese are produced, six of which carry the Prestholt Geitost logo. Prestholt Geitost is a traditional full-fat brown goat cheese with roots from Osterøy on the west coast. It is made from fresh goat milk in summer at Prestholtstølen and in winter at Hol Ysteri. Award-winning cheese, Prestholt Geitost is notable for its rich flavor. Leirgrøv Naturell is a white goat cheese with reduced lactose, named after the Leirgrøv mountain pasture where it's made. NamsskoganGammel Erik Cheesemaker
Gammel Erik cheese factory started as a trial project in Carlos Helguera’s kitchen in 2000 with 12 cheese moulds and a homemade cheese press. It proved so successful that Carlos opened a cheese factory in the former community centre in Namsskogan. Gammel Erik is situated by the E6 highway in the centre of Namsskogan. It’s hard to miss the large yellow building decorated with cheese holes.Welcome to our wonderful cheese factory and yellow cheese house by the E6 highway in Namsskogan. Cheese from Gammel Erik won Super Gold during the Cheese WC 2018 and is therefore one of the 76 best cheeses in the world (among 3500 cheeses). Gammel Erik also won the award for Best Dairy Product during Trøndersk Matfestival 2018.
