The Hill 1125, Hovden
The restaurant “The Hill 1125” stands proudly atop Hovden in the Oppdal Ski Center. This iconic establishment is a signature landmark of Oppdal, visible from the village below. Both locals from Oppdal, cabin-goers, and tourists from near and far come to enjoy the magnificent panoramic view and to taste the exciting offerings from the kitchen. At “The Hill 1125”, you can indulge in Italian pizza baked in a traditional wood-fired stone oven, delicious sandwiches, soups and stews, cakes and chocolates, and not to forget, freshly baked cinnamon buns. The restaurant’s opening hours are aligned with the seasons. During the winter season, it is open whenever the Hovden lift is operating – every weekend as well as on Thursdays and Fridays. When the winter season ends, the restaurant remains closed until the gondola opens for the summer season, during which both the gondola and the restaurant are open daily throughout the summer. In the fall, the restaurant opens on weekends, and during the autumn school holiday, it is usually open every day. The restaurant is suitable for everyone, regardless of age, as it is accessible to wheelchair users and families with strollers, despite being on a mountaintop. The gondolas are designed to accommodate wheelchairs, strollers, and bikes, and inside the restaurant, you will find both a handicap-accessible restroom and a changing table for babies. Note: Be aware that the gondola and the restaurant might close due to adverse weather conditions, so it's crucial to check the weather forecast in advance.

Forbord Dome
Forbord Dome is an exclusive glamping experience for two people in the heart of nature. You can sleep under the stars, enjoy the panoramic view over the Trondheimsfjorden, catch a magical sunset or see the fantastic northern lights if you're lucky. The dome is a full 23 square meters with a window in the roof and in the front and it is placed on a terrace on two levels with a seating area and fire pit. There are many great hiking opportunities in the area, how about a trip to the top of Forbordsfjellet? The dome is centrally located approx. 10 minutes from Trondheim Airport Værnes in Stjørdal and approx. 40 min. from Trondheim. The dome is placed by itself in the hillside up towards Forbordsfjellet, approx. 300 m.a.s.l and is open all year around. There are two parking options and the distance from parking to the dome is from 600-1500 meters depending on parking/route. You walk on a forest road from the car park to get all the way to the dome. In the dome there is a king-size double bed and a seating area for two people. There is plenty of heat in the dome (wood stove/diesel heater), but we recommend bringing warm clothes on cold days. You don't have to leave the dome to go to the bathroom, it has a separate room with a toilet. You are welcome to bring a dog or other pets, but due to allergies, these cannot be inside the dome. We do have a great dog house outside though. There is 10 liters of drinking water in the dome on arrival, otherwise little access to clean drinking water. You also have access to a primus and two saucepans for easy cooking. Remember that the primus must be used outdoors. There is also a grill grate for the brazier that can be used for grilling. Free access to tea and coffee.

Namsen Salmon & Train Experience
Here you can spend the night in a sleeping carriage from the 1960s, in the middle of Namsen. This is a carriage that Gunde Svan once bought from Norway and we have bought back. Here you will find 10 compartments with 2 beds in each overlooking the river. Good mattresses in each bed. In each couch there is a washbasin with hot and cold water. The rooms are kept virtually identical to when the wagon was in operation. The sleeping carriage and the sanitary carriage are separated from the other cars by a distance of about 20 meters where there is a large seating area. This is reserved for overnight guests. Here you can enjoy the silence and calm with something good in the glass. In connection with the sleeping carriage there is a sanitary carriage with toilets, showers and a small drying room.

Welcome to Oppdal Skisenter! As one of Norway's largest ski resorts, Oppdal Skisenter stretches across four majestic mountains, offering an extensive skiing experience. The resort features 13 ski lifts and 35 diverse slopes, connected seamlessly via shuttle trails and the cross-lift (tverrheisen), allowing easy movement between different areas. Vangslia: Vangslia is the most frequented part of Oppdal Skisenter, known for being the first to open each season due to its reliable snowfall. This area is perfect for families and thrill-seekers alike. Vangslia has a dedicated children’s slope equipped with a conveyor lift, along with two chairlifts and two T-bar lifts serving eleven varied trails. Additionally, the terrain park here offers exciting jumps and obstacles, appealing to both young children and adventurous teens. The park usually opens around Christmas and evolves with new features as the season progresses. Vangslia's favorable location provides ample sunshine, often making it warmer than the lower valleys. This area is ideal for all skill levels, featuring slopes ranging from easy greens to challenging blacks. Vangslia is the natural starting point for a memorable day on the slopes. Stølen: Located just 3 kilometers north of Oppdal Sentrum, Stølen offers a blend of accessible and diverse skiing opportunities. The area is home to five well-maintained slopes and four lifts, including a popular children’s slope, making it a family-friendly destination. Stølen’s terrain is versatile, providing both groomed trails and extensive off-piste areas. The gentle slopes by the mountain lift are particularly enjoyable during northwestern weather, offering safe powder runs with minimal avalanche risk. Many skiers, both locals and visitors, have taken their first turns in Stølen's welcoming beginner slopes. Ådalen: Tucked between the other three main areas, Ådalen is a hidden gem for powder enthusiasts. After northwest storms, Ådalen becomes a paradise for freeriders, thanks to its abundant fresh snow. The Ådalsheisen lift services a well-groomed slope and a transport trail that loops back to the valley. The area is renowned for the "Ådalsfjeset," a legendary face that hosts freeriding competitions and is a favorite for experienced skiers. Another notable feature is the "student hang," a snowy bowl with large cornices, ideal for adventurous jumps. Ådalen’s varied terrain makes it a go-to spot for those seeking challenging off-piste runs. Hovden ("The Hill"): Hovden, prominently visible to the north of Oppdal Sentrum, is celebrated as one of Norway’s premier and steepest ski slopes. This area has a single chairlift serving a black run, known for its steep and demanding terrain. Hovden is a training ground for many of Norway’s top skiers, including legends like Aksel Lund Svindal and Erik Håker. On powder days, Hovden offers a thrilling mix of challenging off-piste areas and impeccably groomed racing slopes. The slope’s difficulty and reputation draw both freeriders and competitive skiers. Hovden typically opens later in the season, initially operating only on weekends until the main winter holidays. Come and explore the vast, varied slopes of Oppdal Skisenter. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned skier, there's something here for everyone. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery, the fresh mountain air, and the thrill of carving down these beautiful slopes.

Kennel Dølanvollen offers guided dogsledding tours from our location, a 10 minute drive north of Røros. You drive your «own» sleigh with 4-5 dogs and get to feel the special interaction with the dogs,in beautiful surroundings! If you want, you can join and help prepare the dogs before we leave the dog farm. This is a total experience, where you get close to the dogs and the stunning nature around Røros. Our most popular tour is about 25km. and take about 2 hours. We can also offer a short trip. It’s 8km. and takes about 1 hour. You have to be minimum 14 years old to drive your own sled. Ice fishing with a guide in Lierne
Few things taste as good as fresh fish that you catch yourself. Ice fishing is a thrilling experience, and an exciting acitivity that everyone can try. Get started with ice fishing with our two hour guided fishing "school" and ice fishing tour. Bait and equipment included. This is a good actiivty for groups of all ages. First we make our own fishing rods. This is yours to keep after the tour. Then we place your new gear on one of our excelllent fishing spots on the ice. We start fishing, and hope for good "fiskelykke" or "fishing luck". If you stay in one of our cabins you can leave your gear on the ice until the next day. Your guide is Tommy Ingulfsvann, born and raised in Lierne. He knows everything there is to know about ice fishing gear and techniques. He will make a campfire and arrange for seating for everyone. We serve a hot drink and some snacks during the tour. Join our outdoor living: - Ice fishing tour, with snowmobile. - Stay overnight in a wilderness camp on your own private island. - Guided trout fishing from boat - Guidet troutfishing on foot - Stay in one of our cabins in the mountains Contact us for more information about what we offer.

Dråpen Fjordbad & Sauna
Dråpen Fjordbad offers unique experiences in sauna and ice bathing at the mouth of the beautiful river Namsen. We also offer courses in ice bathing and sauna use, as well as yoga-inspired exercises and breathing techniques. We are happy to tailor a program for courses or rentals. Dråpen Sauna is located in the outdoor area of Angelskjæret in Namsos, a 10-minute walk from downtown Namsos. The sauna is situated on the beach, right by the water's edge, and is open for rental year-round from 06:00 to 21:00. There is free parking 50 meters from the sauna. Changing rooms are available in the Namsen Ice Bathing Club's bathhouse right next door. Dråpen Sauna offers regular drop-in sessions in addition to private rentals.
