    Herborg Kråkevik & TrondheimSolistene

We walk together in Herborg's songbook When Kråkevik's songbook was published in 2000, with her warm and distinctive interpretations of, among others, "Den fyrste song", "Til ungdommen" and "Blåmann", the album became an immediate sensation. Kråkevik was described as Norway's number one songbird and was named Spellemann of the Year – with the justification: "Never has the Norwegian song treasure been interpreted in a finer way." The recordings, made in collaboration with the TrondheimSolistene, sold an impressive 250,000 copies and placed the album among the best-selling Norwegian releases of all time. Throughout her career, Herborg Kråkevik has shown rare versatility as a singer, actress and lyricist, and has consolidated her position as one of the country's foremost cultural communicators. In 2026, she is once again highly relevant – both in the popular TV series Hver gang vi møtes on TV2 in January, and with a new album and book in March. The new album is a collection of several Norwegian songs, and the book is a collaboration with the National Museum where songs and paintings are put together under the title "Vi vandrar saman". After three sold-out anniversary concerts in 2025, the Kråkevik and Trondheim Soloists will now embark on a grand tour in the spring of 2026. The ensemble is in the process of renewing the repertoire from the Songboka, and the audience can look forward to both immortal classics and brand new songs from the upcoming album. Here, beloved songs await in a new guise - performed by world-class musicians. Join us for an unforgettable concert experience! Trondheim
    06.05.2026

The Jazz Togetherness Show av Cosmic Swing Orchestra

Co-presented with Jazzfest "The Jazz Togetherness Show" is a cross-artistic performance about self-improvement, apocalypse and community, written by Petter Dalane. We follow a charismatic hypnotist who is driven mad by his belief in market forces and self-improvement, before he finally finds both his own and the world's salvation in the musical unity of the big band. Cosmic Swing Orchestra has been mixing music, satire and performance art since 2018, and The Jazz Togetherness Show is the band's largest production to date. In a time marked by global crises, climate fear and a constant rush for self-optimization, we are drowning in advice on how to become better, healthier and more successful. Influencers, consumers and technocrats are dancing towards doom in the pursuit of the best version of themselves. The performance is a satirical and absurd commentary on the culture of life mastery and the contrast between the crises around us and the smooth superficiality of today, and shows how music can be a force in the face of this. www.jazzfest.no Location: Hall 1 Duration: approx. 100 min Language: Norwegian More info, tickets and content warning can be found at https://rosendalteater.no/program/the-jazz-togetherness-show

WELCOME TO THE MAY 1ST CELEBRATION AT STRANDVEIEN 100

WELCOME TO THE MAY 1ST CELEBRATION! Kulturen is moving into a new location at Strandveien 100 in Nyhavna . Here, the activism of the seventies in the film TRONDHEIMSKAMPEN will meet today's struggle for Strandveien 23 and the cultural environments at Nyhavna, through film, panel debate, appeals and artistic elements. THE TRONDHEIMSKAMPEN is a historical and topical documentary about activism then and now, told as a personal story by Barbro Rønning, as a contemporary witness and activist for 50 years. Through the film we want to look at how past activism can help ignite present-day activism. In the 70s, the people saved the old wooden houses in the city from demolition in connection with the construction of a motorway. Now Strandveien 23 faces the same threat when Bane Nor wants to build wider railway tracks and demolish old wooden houses on Svartlamoen. What can we learn from past activism? What has been and is the role of art in the urban environment struggle? And what makes a city diverse and good to live in? With: Svartlamon Women's Choir, Berit Rusten, Barbro Rønning, Siri Gjære, Daniel Johansen, Eiv Rindal, Selma Sjøhagen, Lars Gaupseth. A collaboration between: Lademoen Vel, the film producer HerStory, Naboland, IHUNDRE!, Galleri Verftsgata, Svartlamon Damekor, Ivar Matlaus book cafe and Aksjonsgruppa i Strandveien.

Now he is here with the music of Björn Afzelius and you are served two hours of known, unknown, sing-alongs, laughter and small surprising moments with teary cheeks. Brønnøysund Avis: Peter Wemö's tribute performance to Björn Afzelius is unhurried and direct. It makes us remember someone or something, it gives us some new and unknown songs, and sometimes we can't help but sing along. Wemö is like a machine. Anecdotes, words of wisdom, stories and jokes come between the songs like an inexhaustible river. There is not a second of hesitation or dead time in the two hours he stands in front of us on stage. He places Afzelius' lyrics in a historical perspective and discusses the artist's political involvement and love life.

    Brahms: A German Requiem

Powerful and timeless choral work Conductor: Adam Hickox Soprano: Siobhan Stagg Barytone: Yngve Søberg Choir: Trondheim Vocal Ensemble & Trondheim Symphonic Opera Chorus Choirmaster: Urša Lah Program Johannes Brahms: Ein deutches Requiem About the concert Brahms’ requiem opens with the unearthly beauty of “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” And this is a requiem that contains both sorrow, consolation and hope. The work gives a deep sense of peace and reflection. The most important thing for Brahms was that both the text and the music should be of comfort and encouragement, and he himself selected the texts that he took from the German Bible. He put the choir at the center and said himself that this was a requiem for man. So let Brahms comfort you and take you from sorrow to joy, from darkness to light, in a masterful work of art written as help and support for people of all religions and from all corners of the world.

    BRITT-SYNNØVE JOHANSEN

    - Remember to book a table for the best experience One of Norway’s most beautiful voices is out with a new album. Now Britt-Synnøve Johansen comes to Visebasaren. Kveldslys — taste the word: evening light. The day fades, darkness falls, but there is still light — warm, soft, and gentle. Britt-Synnøve Johansen is the petite woman with the powerful voice and a rare gift for emotional expression. She has sung Édith Piaf in Norwegian, tango in Norwegian, and performed her own and others’ songs filled with deep emotion. On her new release Kveldslys, the mood is calmer; the lyrics are mature, wistful, and reflective. Yet it remains warm — and endlessly beautiful. Like an evening bathed in soft light. Kveldslys was recorded live with highly skilled and dedicated musicians. The result is a tender, intimate, and honest album. Musically, it belongs in the Norwegian folk song tradition but also reaches toward French chanson, jazz, and Americana — all at once. Britt-Synnøve is known for captivating her audience, and with Kveldslys she is once again ready to share songs and stories that everyone can relate to. Joining her this evening is her absolute favorite pianist, Rasmus Solem.

    Áhpparas // Jazzfest 2026

Áhpparas is an electric power trio that lets Northern Sami joik be the driving force that sets the musical expression in motion. The trio creates a musical landscape where tradition, improvisation and raw energy merge into something that mixes ancient tradition with a modern expression. The music is set in solid, multi-dimensional grooves that are open, repetitive and constantly evolving. The hypnotic pulse of desert blues mixes with the circular energy of joik and an alternative 1960s where Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck could have found their way up to Northern Norway. The guitar joiks through tube amplifiers, distortion and groove, while bass and percussion build a foundation that is both down-to-earth and limitless. Viktor Wilhelmsen has explored the crossover between joik, blues and improvisation for a number of years, and builds bridges effortlessly between the traditional and the modern. Kenneth Kapstad is one of thecountry's most prominent drummers, known from, among others, Motorpsycho and Møster! and provides precision, power and freedom that gives the rhythmic circles of the joik a new space for expression. Mattis Kleppen explores the connection between folk music, blues and jazz, often with the Telemark folk music tradition as a starting point and a distinctive sound. Trondheim Jazz Orchestra: We are? // Jazzfest 2026

What does it mean to “become” together? What is the word for the opposite of loneliness? Heida Karine Jóhannesdóttir Mobeck takes over as artistic director of the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra. This evening we will have a first encounter with her first work with the orchestra. We are? is Heida's main focus as artistic director for the next three years, a living development space for new music, new forms of collaboration and new audience relationships. The project stems from the original power of jazz as a collective, political, improvised and social art form, and questions the expectation of finished works. Instead, the process is highlighted as an artistic method and shared practice. The core of We are? is listening, to each other, to the places we find ourselves in, and to the time we live in. The work asks open questions: What is here? Where do we stand locally right now? What do we need at this moment? And how can we make something together from what we have here? The music is formed collectively, by being inspired by each other, in the tension between composed structures and improvisation, where initiatives can be taken, responded to, changed and carried forward. Hachikō // Jazzfest 2026

Hachikō has quickly established themselves as one of the most exciting new names on the Norwegian modern jazz scene. With a unique blend of melodic finesse, rhythmic playfulness and an expression that is both raw, vulnerable and unpredictable, they have created a musical universe that immediately captures the audience. The relatively new Bergen-based band's sound is characterized by contrasts. Lyrical melodies meet complex rhythms and the acoustic sound is complemented by subtle electronic elements. The result is genre-defining, modern and timeless. Heavy drum breaks and bass lines hit deep and create a soundscape where the jazz runs wild and the hip-hop grows wild. The musicians draw inspiration from artists such as Pino Palladino, Yussef Dayes, Immanuel Wilkins, Alice Coltrane and Madlib, and deliver a journey of discovery like no other. When Hachikō plays at Moskus during Jazzfest 2026 it will be dense, heavy and raw, definately worth a visit. Through six years as booking manager and resident at the Oslo Disco bastion Ingensteds, and with several physical releases on Whiskey Disco, Untz Untz and his own label FINNITUS, his passion for the more obscure Italo and percussive 130+ bpm driving 70/80s sounds grew ever stronger. Having neglected his early love for Warp Records and mid-90s rave sounds until the recent gen z revival, his spectrum now glides through Italo disco, classic/progressive trance, EBM, French touch, Techno, Acid and other uplifting vibes. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Book your table now -> www.bookibud.com/tyven 23:00 CC 100,- 20 YRS Doors: 18:00

Ticket price is 200,- 18 years of age limit. TOM DANIEL BAND: The band from Trondheim promises a high sing-along factor when they come to Rockheim to play at Pop Clubben. The mood is set for a good atmosphere when the band performs their repertoire consisting of both their own songs and other well-known Trønder hits. Some of the band's most played self-produced songs are Sykkelist (over 1.1 million plays on Spotify), Når tia di Kjæm, Gammel Drøm and Liten Nøkkel. The latter won Trøndertoppen for several weeks. The Tom Daniel Band consists of: Tom Daniel Hansen Sylte: Vocals and Guitar Ole Anton Moe: Guitar Tommy Berg: Saxophone Hugo Eriksen: Keyboards Tommy Verstad: Bass Vidar Kolberg: Drums TRIBLE B: The band was started on request for Trollblues in 2011. The only original member is the founder, Edin Botten on drums. Botten has been playing in bands "longer than the rest of us have been alive, so we call it safe management" - says Trible B. The band practices in the mudroom of a disused 1930s school, so if the audience hears a little extra wood in the sound, it's just history sitting in the walls. Bio from Triple B: On guitar we have Elias, lead guitarist with a capital L. He was four years old when the band was started, and he often forgets that we also have a vocalist. On rhythm guitar we have Marius, who lacks both rhythm and theory, but makes up for it with coffee and jokes. Mats-Egil is in charge of the singing, and he is the one who saves us every time the band takes a little detour on the way to the chorus. On bass we have Sigurd, the foundation of the band, and also the band's mascot together with Edin. According to the band, they don't make money with their music, they serve the people!

Ljå creates music rooted in Norwegian black metal, fused with acoustic guitar and repetitive, melodic rhythms. Their sound is often compared to bands such as Ulver, Marduk, and Gorgoroth. The ultimate beauty of extreme metal music, expanded through black metal, is clearly evident in Ljå’s work. SAGITE Sagite is a death metal band built on long-form structures, heaviness and slow decay. The music moves like a continuous ritual – brutal, uncompromising, spectral, and drawn toward the abyss and stillness. Expect a death metal extravaganza before Ljå takes the stage at Hulen.

Powerful and timeless choral work Conductor: Adam Hickox Soprano: Siobhan Stagg Barytone: Yngve Skullerud Søberg Choir: Trondheim Vocal Ensemble & Trondheim Symphonic Opera Chorus Choirmaster: Urša Lah Program Johannes Brahms: Ein deutches Requiem About the concert Brahms’ requiem opens with the unearthly beauty of “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” And this is a requiem that contains both sorrow, consolation and hope.

Doors open 19:00 Concert start 20:00 døssi Since 2020, Bergen-based døssi (Ingrid Døssland) has been sending melancholic pop out into the world, first in English with the EP bluebirds (2021) and the debut album love, let go and love again which came out the following year. With this music, she received 10(!!) radio listings on NRK P3, praise in the national and international press, was booked for by:Larm, Vill Vill Vest, and Trondheim Calling and soon after she played for audiences in England and Denmark, in addition to a whole bunch of Norwegian cities, festivals, nooks and crannies After the success of the album love, let go and love again, with 10 songs listed on P3, and several festival gigs, døssi started her new chapter in her career last year. The very lucky ones, those who got to see her on festival stages, at Bergen Live Sessions or on the huge Byscenen during Trondheim Calling in 2023, were the first to hear dössi in Norwegian. In her own beautiful western dialect. These Norwegian songs were seriously released into the world in 2024, and listeners got to hear a slightly different side of dössi. The EP next stop is for ever marked the start of a new chapter, and the next page in the book started already on August 29, with the single nok no. /// Mia Berg Songwriter, artist and vocalist Mia Berg (30) writes music that depicts intimate stories in a singer-songwriter-inspired pop landscape. She made her debut in 2019 with the EP "Intro", and received praise from CLASH, Bands Of Tomorrow and Popmani, and was booked for Vill Vill Vest, Sørveiv and Camp Øya the same year. During the pandemic, Mia began to explore a new landscape of raw and emotional songwriting in a singer-songwriter-inspired expression. This resulted in her debut album "Sleepwalkers at Noon" which was released in the fall of 2022. The album received praise from Norwegian and foreign media, and received several singles listed on P1, P3, P13, P6Beat as well as reviews in, among others, BT, Untoldency, When the Horns Blow, GAFFA and ELLE DK. Over the past few years, Mia has played concerts in Norway, Germany and Denmark, as well as playing support for Nicklas Sahl (DK) and Siv Jakobsen on tour in Germany. After the debut album, Mia began working on new music with producer Mikhael Paskalev. In the fall of 2025, she was back with the song "the city" with a preview on P3, listing on P1 and promising reviews in GAFFA, and in November with the single "Moon" which rolled the dice 5 in Dagsavisen. Her next album, Aftermath, will be released in March 2026.
