En 1655, un unique phare se dressait sur la péninsule de Lindesnes, la pointe de terre la plus méridionale de la Norvège. Celui-ci fut le premier de plus de 200 ouvrages érigés au fil des siècles pour guider les navires. La plupart d’entre eux ont récemment été fermés ou automatisés, le dernier phare national piloté par des hommes ayant fermé en 2006.

Force de la nature et histoire maritime

De par leur emplacement privilégié et spectaculaire, face à la mer, ces sentinelles récemment réformées sont devenues des destinations de voyage de plus en plus populaires. De nos jours, les vacanciers sont nombreux à vouloir vivre des expériences uniques. En dormant dans un phare, vous approcherez le passé de ce peuple de marins, au son des vagues qui se brisent sur les rochers. En prime, les phares font de très beaux sujets photographiques, merveilleux à partager instantanément avec sa famille et ses amis – où le monde entier.

En tout, près de 60 phares norvégiens sont ouverts à la réservation. La fourchette de prix est large. Le gouvernement reste propriétaire de la majorité d’entre eux et collabore avec des associations locales pour assurer les visites et l’hébergement. Certains autres appartiennent à des propriétaires privés et bénéficient d'une gestion commerciale.

Réservez votre place bien avant votre séjour, ce mode d’hébergement retenant de plus en plus l’attention des voyageurs.
