Kristiansten Fortress
Kristiansten Fortress is one of Trondheim’s main landmarks. The fort was built after the great city fire in 1681 and now stands guard over the city. It saved the city from conquest by Sweden in 1718. Harpist Ruth Potter and conservator Iris Verena Barth reveal the rebellious history of the harp. The instrument, once associated with noblemen who communicated with God, was taken over by young girls in the 18th century who wanted to express themselves. Thursday night is the time for after-hours at Habitat bar. Earlier in the evening we will be hosting Film Music Bingo here together with Pstereo, which starts at 7:00 PM. After the bingo, the evening continues at Habitat with good friends until closing time. After-hours is open to everyone, this is the perfect place for those who want to meet the festival audience after their last cinema visit of the day. Welcome! About Habitat: Habitat is a craft bar with 24 taps, many of which are local beers. It is also home to Monkey Brew, which is ranked as Norway's best brewery according to untapd.com. Our cultural heritage is important to the Trondheim Soloists, and for this concert they bring with them one of Norway's most exciting young performers, Marja Mortensson. With the Southern Sami yoik tradition at its center, she uses the sonorous and rhythmic elements of the language to create her distinctive musical universe. This concert presents Suite no. 1, Aarehgïjre – Early Spring and Suite no. 2, Tjaktje – Autumn, both of which were created in collaboration with composer and arranger Knut Anders Vestad.

Mange nordmenn har lært seg å lese i selskap med historiene frå Andeby. Det gjeld også forfattaren av denne boka. Alf Kjetil Walgermo har skrive ei morosam og analytisk kjærleikserklæring til den hissige, vesle fyren i matrosdrakt. Boka er også ei litteraturhistorie sett med andeblikk. Donald Duck og venene hans har sett eit formidabelt avtrykk i kulturen vår, i språket, tenkemåten og samfunnsdebatten. Verdslitteraturen har sett eit like formidabelt avtrykk i Andeby. Walgermo tek oss med på ein fornøyeleg og kunnskapsrik rundtur i Andebys litterære verd. Boka gir deg nye inngangar til Homer, Dante og Shakespeare, og du kan kose deg med alt frå Duckens til Duckensteins monster. Vi får òg innsikt i Donalds strategiar som forfattar og følgjer han både i jakta på ein bestseljar og i den litterære feiden med fetter Anton. Litteratur i Andeby er ei gransking av vårt kollektive minne, eit nybrottsarbeid og eit varmt forsvar for leseglede! Alf Kjetil Walgermo (f. 1977) er kjent som forfattar, journalist og litteraturkritikar. Han har skrive fleire kritikarroste bøker for barn, ungdom og vaksne og er omsett til ei rekkje språk. Han er for tida aktuell med boka Litteratur og Andeby - Donald Duck og bøkene. Donald Duck har vore ein hemmeleg lidenskap sidan barndommen. Art Club: The Power of Colors – an evening with Ingrid Simensen
Trondheim Art Museum's Art Club invites you to an inspiring evening with color consultant Ingrid Simensen on Tuesday, March 24th at 7:00 PM at the Literature House in Trondheim. Free for members of the Art Club at TKM. Not a member? Ticket costs 200,- What happens when colors not only change the space, but also how we feel in it? When color consultant Ingrid Simensen renovated her own home, she discovered how important light, surroundings and shades are in how colors are experienced. The experience sparked a deep fascination with the interaction of colors and their ability to influence both spaces and people. This led to a new career choice, and today she is a certified color consultant from the Norwegian Color Academy. Now she wants to give more people the opportunity to experience the joy of living with colors they truly enjoy. Trondheim Art Museum's Art Club invites you to an inspiring evening at the House of Literature, where Simensen shares his personal story and his knowledge of colors. Why are colors experienced differently from one room to another? How do we find shades that harmonize with each other? And how can we use colors consciously to create environments we thrive in? Through conversation and reflection, the audience will gain insight into the meaning of colors, and how conscious color choices can create spaces with identity, balance, and belonging. Artist Talk at TKM: Outi Pieski
On Saturday, 7 March, you will have the opportunity to experience Eatnamastit together with artist Outi Pieski, followed by a conversation between Outi Pieski and Dr. Eeva-Kristiina Nylander. ____ What does it mean when Sámi objects and memories that have ended up in museums across Europe find their way home again? And what happens when artists and researchers use these returns as a starting point to talk about identity, power, and the future? The concept of rematriation is about more than returning objects – it is about giving cultural heritage renewed meaning today, both emotionally and culturally, within Sámi communities. You are warmly invited to a guided tour of the exhibition Eatnamastit, followed by a conversation with artist Outi Pieski and Dr. Eeva-Kristiina Nylander.
