TRONDHEIM
Rockheim, Norway's national museum of pop and rock
Rockheim is Norway’s national museum of pop and rock music. Rockheim is responsible for collecting, preserving and conveying Norwegian pop and rock music from the 1950s to the present day. Since the museum’s opening in 2010, there has been a steady stream of visitors eager to learn about this music and its history.
The main exhibition, the ‘Time Tunnel’, highlights artists, their music and artefacts decade by decade. In the changing exhibitions, you can get an in-depth understanding of topics from music history and contemporary culture. Local, national and international phenomena are covered.
In the experience rooms, you can learn to play guitar from TNT guitarist Ronnie Le Tekrø, mix hip-hop loops, try being a DJ and make graffiti on the wall. You can also sing, play guitar, bass, drums and keyboard.
Conclude your visit in the museum shop where you buy replicas or posters, games or books as a souvenir of your visit to Rockheim.
