Embarquez dans un road trip à travers une beauté naturelle époustouflante ! La route panoramique norvégienne Hardanger s'étend sur 165 kilomètres et est divisée en quatre tronçons différents : Granvin-Steinsdalsfossen, Norheimsund-Tørvikbygd, Jondal-Utne et Kinsarvik-Låtefoss.

Le moyen le plus simple de se rendre à Hardanger est de prendre l'avion jusqu'à Bergen, de louer une voiture et de rouler pendant environ deux à trois heures. Vous pouvez également prendre l'avion jusqu'à Oslo ou Kristiansand, puis rouler environ cinq à six heures en voiture de location. N'oubliez pas que les routes sont étroites et sinueuses : prenez votre temps et reposez-vous sur les aires de repos.

Traversez le pont de pierre en admirant l'eau se précipiter dans la rivière en contrebas.
À seulement 10 minutes au nord d'Odda, vous trouverez Tyssedal, qui marque le début de la célèbre randonnée de Trolltunga. Si vous aimez les défis, vous pouvez parcourir les 27 kilomètres qui mènent à la formation rocheuse qui surplombe de 700 mètres le lac Ringedalsvatnet.

Starting point Buer in Odda. Drive off from route 13, signposted Buer. Drive to the end of the road where you will find the parking. About the trail You will walk next to the river for most of the hike up to the glacier. Some places there are bridges where you cross the river. The whole hike is in wild and lush landscape, and you can see the glacier in front of you the whole way. In some parts of the hike you will find ropes to make it easier to climb. The last part of the trail is in steep terrain, and sturdy hiking boots are necessary. Important! Do NOT go near the glacier. Trolltunga - also known as the Troll's Tongue - is the most spectacular rock formation in Norway. At 1180 meters above sea level, is lies about 700 meters above the lake Ringedalsvatnet. Si vous suivez la route panoramique sur environ 30 kilomètres le long du Sørfjorden, un bras du Hardangerfjord, vous arriverez aux villages idylliques de Lofthus et Kinsarvik.

Prenez le ferry depuis Kinsarvik pour rejoindre le village historique d'Utne en 30 minutes. Si vous prenez la route étroite qui relie Utne à Jondal en direction du sud-ouest pendant environ une heure, vous arriverez à un ferry qui vous fera traverser le fjord jusqu'à Tørvikbygd.
Avant de traverser, pourquoi ne pas faire un détour par le pittoresque village de Rosendal, où vous pourrez visiter le plus petit château de Scandinavie, Baroniet, qui date de 1665 ?
À 20 minutes en voiture du terminal ferry de Tørvikbygd se trouve la cascade magique de Steinsdalsfossen. Vous pouvez même passer derrière sans vous mouiller, grâce à sa plate-forme unique !

Continuez sur les routes sinueuses du fjord pendant environ une demi-heure jusqu'à atteindre une autre magnifique aire de repos : Steinstøberget.
Vous y trouverez des installations de service et des sièges, ainsi que des bancs au bord du fjord, d'où vous pourrez admirer la vue sur le Hardangerfjorden et l'imposant glacier Folgefonna. Il y a même un endroit au bord de l'eau si vous avez envie de pêcher.
Profitez des 30 dernières minutes de la route panoramique en roulant vers Granvin sur une autre route étroite et sinueuse. S'il vous reste un peu de temps, faites un crochet, car la cascade de Skjervsfossen n'est qu'à environ 10 minutes en voiture. C'est également un excellent point de départ pour la route panoramique si vous souhaitez retourner en arrière.
Faites une pause dans l'une des aires de repos et admirez les chutes jumelles de 150 m de haut.
Remarque : la route menant à cette cascade est fermée en hiver.
Si vous avez le temps, poussez jusqu'au pont Hardanger. C'est l'un des plus grands ponts suspendus au monde, et il relie les rives sud et nord du Hardangerfjord. Il y a des places de parking de chaque côté du pont et vous pouvez le traverser en voiture, à vélo ou à pied.
Après avoir traversé le pont, il ne vous reste que 20 minutes de route avant d’arriver au village pittoresque d'Eidfjord. Promenez-vous dans le centre du village ou partez à la découverte des nombreux sentiers de la région.
Un court trajet en voiture à travers un tunnel sinueux depuis Eidfjorden vous mènera à l'imposante cascade de Vøringsfossen !
C'est ici que commence une autre route panoramique de la région, la route panoramique de Hardangervidda, longue de 67 kilomètres, qui s'étend vers l'est entre Eidfjord et Haugastøl.
Notez que la route est ouverte toute l'année, mais que les conditions météorologiques ont une forte incidence sur les conditions de conduite en hiver et peuvent entraîner des fermetures temporaires.
Bon à savoir avant votre départ
Il y a deux traversées en ferry sur l'itinéraire, entre Tørvikbygd-Jondal et Kinsarvik-Utne-Kvandal. Pour en savoir plus sur les horaires des ferries.
Informations pour les cyclistes : Faites attention, la circulation est dense en été. Évitez les tunnels entre Kinsarvik et Odda, puis vers Låtefossen, et empruntez plutôt la route extérieure.
Certaines parties de la route 13 (Skjervsvegen) sont fermées pendant les mois d'hiver, ce qui signifie que la cascade de Skjervsfossen est inaccessible à cette période.
La meilleure période de l'année pour emprunter cette route est entre avril et octobre. À moins d'avoir une grande expérience de la conduite en hiver, il n'est pas conseillé de rouler ici en hiver.
Conseil : Si vous conduisez un camping-car et que vous n'aimez pas les routes étroites, vous pouvez emprunter la route est entre Utne et Odda.
