En Norvège, la saison est longue, les conditions sont bonnes et un soin attentif est apporté à l’entretien des pistes, sur lesquelles on peut skier en toute sécurité et à tout âge.

En raison de l’épidémie de coronavirus, il se peut que les stations de ski norvégiennes soient soumises à des restrictions cet hiver. Ne vous rendez pas dans nos stations de ski si vous ne vous sentez pas en forme ou si vous êtes en quarantaine. Nous vous conseillons vivement de lire la page Corona measures in Norwegian ski resorts sur le site Fnugg avant de commencer à planifier vos vacances de ski.

Imaginez ! Vous avez trois ans et vous faites votre première descente à ski. La grande aventure ! Or, c’est souvent à cet âge que les grandes figures du ski alpin norvégien, ont passé leur première journée sur des skis. Cette sensation, ils ne l'oublieront jamais.

Le ski en Norvège : plus que les pistes et la neige

Pour bien des amateurs du sport, la Norvège est le paradis du ski – et pas seulement pour la durée de sa saison ni la qualité de son enneigement. La raison principale en est que tout le monde y trouve son bonheur. Les enfants dans les espaces qui leur sont réservés, les skieurs confirmés sur les pistes rouges ou encore les amateurs de poudreuse – l’essentiel étant que chacun éprouve de bonnes sensations.

Si vous souhaitez expérimenter plusieurs stations, l’offre norvégienne est vraiment vaste. Oslo dispose d'un domaine polyvalent à une trentaine de minutes du centre-ville. En Norvège du Nord, vous pourrez skier avec vue sur la mer.

En Norvège des Fjords, vous profiterez d'un cadre spectaculaire, offrant d’excellentes conditions aux amateurs de poudreuse. Et si vous envisagez un séjour plus familial, vous pouvez aussi opter pour une station ouverte en été. Et bien entendu, vous pouvez toujours vous diriger vers les grandes stations de Trysil, Hafjell, Kvitfjell, Gaustablikk, Hemsedal ou Geilo.

Vous trouverez des stations de ski familiales dans tout le pays avec, dans la plupart d’entre elles, des écoles de ski et des moniteurs qualifiés qui seront ravis d'apprendre à skier à vos enfants. De nombreuses stations sont équipées de remonte-pentes qui vous attendent, littéralement au pas de votre porte. Après une longue journée sur les pistes, vous pourrez donc regagner votre chambre les skis aux pieds. Et le soir, vous n’aurez plus qu'à vous installer devant un bon repas et un verre.

    Apprendre à faire du ski et du snowboard

    Le ski et le snowboard peuvent être amusants, mais aussi un peu frustrants si vous ne maîtrisez pas bien la technique. Heureusement, il existe en Norvège de nombreuses écoles de ski, aussi bien pour les néophytes que pour les skieurs plus avancés.

    Et si vous preniez votre dose de ski en été ?

    Si vous pensez que le printemps marque la fin de la saison de ski, vous oubliez qu'il y a des stations de haute altitude en Norvège où vous pouvez pratiquer la glisse tout l'été.

    Il est cependant important de se lever tôt. Les glaciers sont parfois glacés en début de matinée, mais la glace se ramollit avec les premiers rayons de soleil, permettant ainsi plusieurs heures de ski agréable. Vers la mi-journée, la neige peut se transformer en soupe. C'est le moment de prendre une bière, de nager un peu et de prendre un bain de soleil.
