Bergen Live presents: Thomas Dybdahl

Thomas Dybdahl is regarded as one of the country's very best artists, and through a series of beautiful, timeless and solid albums he has long since secured a place among Norway's most prominent artists and songwriters. On 1 December Thomas Dybdahl comes with his band to Grieghallen.

Dybdahl debuted as a solo artist with That Great October Sound, and took home the Spellemannpris for his efforts. Since then he has delivered further critically acclaimed albums such as Stray Dogs, One Day You'll Dance For Me New York City, Science, and What's Left Is Forever which reached all the way to a Grammy nomination.

2025 was a particularly strong year for Dybdahl, with extensive touring and a series of concerts that were rewarded with top scores from reviewers across the country. Live he has cemented his position as one of Norway's very strongest performers – intimate, soulful and technically brilliant, with an audience that spans generations.

His previous album release was the beautiful Teenage Astronauts. Here he collaborated with Grammy winner Larry Klein, the legendary arranger Vince Mendoza, Stavanger Symfoniorkester and lyricist Edie Kuhnle Ottestad. The result was an ambitious and grand project that clearly shows that Dybdahl is still curious, uncompromising and in constant artistic development.

In parallel he is currently working on the follow-up to the album Fever from 2020. The first taste came in autumn 2025 with the single Let Me Love You – a song that has already become a live favourite and has therefore been given a central place in the concert set, pointing clearly forward towards the next chapter in Dybdahl's career.

In May he released a single, and in September an EP with several new songs arrives.
