Arendal is known for its beautiful archipelago, many historical museums and bustling city life. But what if there was also a place where you could spend some quality time with your family in a large scientific centre?

You can do this if you visit the Science Centre. The scientific experience center is packed with exhibitions and interactive activities. This is a place where both children and adults can learn something new, while having fun!

The extensive exhibition is divided into different themes, all of which involve interactive tasks suitable for all ages.

The similar themes are Maritime world, Your body and health, Energy in the environment, Numbers in everything. Here you will find installations "Set sail" and "Rugg the boat", where you can really feel what it is like to be at sea! The theme "Your body and health" involves various physical activities and competition elements where you can, for example, test your ability to react. In the entrance area you will find the department for the Visitor Center Raet National Park. Here you can explore our beautiful national park up close in the aquarium, or by playing in the Tareskogen - our new toddler area.

Are you planning a trip to the museum with small children and are unsure whether they will get anything out of the museum? Don't worry, in Tareskogen there are also activities for the very little ones.

In all school holidays and weekends, separate activity workshops with exciting content are also offered. Everything is included in the entrance ticket.

The science center also offers a dissemination program for schools, with a number of exciting and educational activities. These are available to children of all ages from primary school to high school.

The science center also organizes birthday celebrations at weekends with its own activity workshops and free play in the exhibition.

In the restaurant Havgløtt, which is next door to the Science Centre, you can relax with a tasty snack and a cup of coffee. Both the restaurant and the museum also have their own patio along the edge of the wharf, with a view out to sea where you can relax after a day of learning.
