Valdresekspressen to Besseggen
The Valdresekspress bus service have up to 3 daily departures from Oslo to Gjendesheim (Besseggen) during the summer season. In addition, they offer up to 4 daily departures back to Oslo. Valdresekspressen starts at the Oslo Bus Terminal and has pick-up points in all ferry ports in Oslo; Color Line, DFDS and Stena Line.
The Valdresekspress arrival times into Gjendesheim correspond with the Gjende Boat departure times to Memurubu (Besseggen) and Gjendebu. In addition, Valdresekspressen also drives to Lom and Leirvassbu. A recommended multi-day tour is to take the bus from Oslo to Leirvassbu and walk from there to Gjendebu, continue hiking over Bukkelægeret and finish with the Besseggen hike which ends in Gjendesheim. Then simply take the Valdresekspressen from Gjendesheim back to Oslo.
Every day (except Saturday) we run buses from Oslo Airport at 10:15 p.m. Every Friday and Sunday we have direct bus departures from Gjendesheim to Oslo airport in the morning, and from Oslo Airport to Beitostolen in the afternoon. Take the eco-friendly and enjoyable journey to Besseggen by bus! See timetables and buy tickets online at www.valdresekspressen.no.
