Anno The Glomdal Museum

Glomdalsmuseet is one of the country's largest open-air museums and also has several permanent indoor exhibitions.

The Glomdal Museum is one of the country’s largest open-air museums, and displays a four hundred year-old period of building- and living tradition in Østerdalen and Solør. The museum aims to make visible that through centuries, Norway has been a multicultural country.

Open air museum with animals
The museum park at Glomdalsmuseet has 92 buildings from the period 1612–1940 spread over 10 acres. Here you can experience how people in Østerdalen and Solør lived and worked on the farm, setra, in the koia and in the gamma. In the summer season, you can meet farm animals in the area and enjoy an ice cream from our mini cafe in Lømostua.
