Enjoy the sunshine and summer on one of the municipality's sandy beaches! The temperature varies, but it's lovely to take a refreshing dip in one of the many clean and clear rivers and lakes on a hot summer's day. Lake Tinnsjøen is the largest lake in Tinn and also popular for bathers. You can find a nice beach at Sandviken camping. Sandvatn in Hovin is known to have warm bath water all summer, and in the north end of the lake is one of the city's finest sandy beach. Otherwise also along the rivers Tessungdalåe and Austbygdåe, there are nice places where you can find a spot where you can enjoy a warm summer day.
