Smarthotel Forus is the only street art hotel in Rogaland. The smarthotel at Forus is located in Sandnes and only 10 km from the city centre of Stavanger. They offer free parking both outdoors and indoors for all their guests. Kvadrat shopping centre is the nearest neighbour, and it is only 10 km to Stavanger International airport, Sola. If you are travelling without a car, the hotel rents out smart cars to all of their guests, they also have free bikes at the hotel. They have full service reception that's open 24/7. Their bright and functional rooms have everything you need for a comfortable and smart stay. Room facilities  DUX beds, comfort pillow, desk, flat screen TV, free WiFi, hypoallergenic carpet, soundproofing and heater with individual heating control. All rooms have their own bathroom with shower, toilet, mirror, hairdryer and wash basin. Serving The hotel serves Scandinavian breakfast buffet from 5 am - 10 am and from 6a m - 11 am on weekends. Good food and drinks are important for a hotel experience, so they also serve dinner every day. The dishes vary, so please contact the reception at the hotel to get an overview of today's dishes. Several attractions in the vicinity around the hotel  For the cultural   There are several opportunities to experience Norwegian culture in the area around the hotel. In the Stavanger city centre, the Norwegian Petroleum museum is perfect for both adults and children of all ages. Here you get an insight into the oil business in Stavanger. There are also lots of activities for children such as, 3D film, disaster room, drilling deck and escape chute. Kids could even play on their own while parents participate in other activities at the museum. Another museum you could visit in Stavanger, is the Norwegian canning museum showcasing how the production of canned fish took place in the earlier days in Stavanger. If you would rather walk around without to many plans, you'll find old Stavanger or Straen as the area is also called, Northern Europe's best-preserved concentration of wooden houses. After a fun day with several experiences, you can end the day in the colourful street, located in the centre of Stavanger. It is a cosy street with different cafes and restaurants serving good food and a playful atmosphere. For adrenaline lovers   Are you looking to experience something more sporty where you really get to feel the adrenaline rushing through your body, you could go on a helicopter sightseeing trip with Helitrans. If you are not fond of heights, you can go on a tour through the Lysefjord, where you will experience real Norwegian nature on a rib boat. You can also join a guided kayak tour through the Lysefjord. For the nature lovers Stavanger is surrounded by beautiful nature experiences, the Lysefjord is not that far away from the hotel, where you'll find known attractions such as the Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) and Kjerag, two fantastic hiking experiences. You can walk the tours yourself, or you can go on a guided hike.  If you want some smaller trips, you have the opportunity to visit the Swords in rock monument at Hafrsfjord or the Sola beach, named the 6th best beach in the world. There are also daily tours to Flor & Fjære during the summer season, an island just outside the city of Stavanger, where you get to combine a fjord cruise with a guided tour of the incredible gardens at the destination. A good meal is included in the tour.  For experiences for the entire family If you are travelling with family and children, there are several exciting activities to choose from. The amusement park, Kongeparken, located at Ålgård, a 15 minute-drive from the hotel, offers a large selection of roller coasters and other rides/activities. You could also visit the Rush Trampoline Park, the Norwegian Children's Museum, The Iron Age farm, the Aviation Museum at Sola and Freedome trampoline park in the surrounding area around the hotel.
