Roundtrip by electric car

What shall we do today? Cycling, kayaking, surfing/kiting, climbing, hunting, fishing or hiking. Or just experience a colourful, urban, cultural scene with great culinary experiences.

What shall we do today? Cycling, kayaking, surfing/kiting, climbing, hunting, fishing or hiking. Or just experience a colourful, urban, cultural scene with great culinary experiences. Recommended days: 5-7 Approximately: 620 km Ferries: 1 car ferry from Lysebotn to Forsand or Lauvvik (prebook) Your journey starts from Stavanger heading south towards the sandy beach at Sola. Continue on route 509 to Sandnes. Drive route 44 "The National Tourist Route", Jæren to Egersund. Continue on route 44 to Jøssingfjord. Visit Helleren. Drive to Sogndalstrand, the first Norwegian municipality that joined the Cittaslow organisation. From Sokndal follow Route 501 to Eide, further E39 to Moi. Drive Tronåsen, which was a part of Rally Monte Carlo in 1931. Drive E39 north to Bjerkreim and a detour to Odlandstø. Take the boat trip on Ørsdalsvatnet (Sundays July and August). Continue to Vikeså, further Route 503 to Byrkjedal. You will pass Northern Europe's biggest boulder scree, Gloppedalsura. Make a detour to Månafossen – one of the region's most imposing waterfalls with a drop of 98 metres. Route 45 to Gilja, Fv281 to Frafjord and enter the parking area at Eikeskog. Follow Route 45 eastwards through Hunnedalen to Sirdal. Explore Sirdal. Make a stop at Sirdal Ski Resort. Take the chairlift and go for a hike. Continue on Route 45 and and follow the sign to Lysebotn. A detour from Øygardstøl, this is where the hike to Kjerag starts. Drive to Lysebotn. Enjoy the ferry trip to Forsand and a detour to Preikestolen Fjellstue and hike to Preikestolen. Or take the ferry to Lauvvik, drive Route 13 to Sandnes or continue E39 to Stavanger. From Sandnes – Stavanger drive north on E39, make a detour to Randaberg and Tungenes lighthouse. Drive through the subsea tunnels on European Road 39. Make a detour to Utstein Kloster (monastery) or a hike to Rennesøyhodnet. Drive through the subsea tunnels on Route 519 to Ladstein. A cycle tour around the island "Sjernarøyrunden" is recommended. Tronåsen - it is a one-way road with access from west open for cars and mini buses from 1.5. – 1.9. The route from Sirdal - Lysebotn is a seasonal route confined to the summer months.  The boat trip along the Lysefjord requires booking in advance.
