Welcome to Ramme art galleri, a wonderful, underground gallery, two floors underground. Ramme art gallery consists of three exhibition rooms, each with its own exhibition, each with its own atmosphere. This year's main exhibition is shown in the Ramme Room.
This year's exhibition: IT. MUNCH at Ramme featuring WORKS ON PAPER
In Ramme picture gallery you will be able to experience a completely new addition to the exhibition: We are showing works Edvard Munch made on paper during his time at Ramme. This includes graphics, drawing and watercolour.
Drawing and watercolor were mediums that followed Munch from when he was a small boy. As a young adult, when he decided to become an artist, he became seriously interested in oil painting. Towards the end of the 19th century, he began with graphics, which allowed his creativity to take even new directions.
The exhibition includes art created in the spirit of vitalism, the nearby landscape, portraits of friends, models and gives a small preview of the Hall decorations.
Every Sunday at 1 p.m. there are guided tours of the main exhibition in the Ramme picture gallery.
See the Ramme art gallery website for opening times and current exhibitions.
