Ever wanted to try cycling on rails?
Then you should try a rail tricycle ride on the railway line Valdresbanen, between Dokka in Nordre Land and Hov in Søndre Land. You can choose between short and long journeys; the entire stretch between Dokka and Hov is 24 km one way.

Rail tricycles are suitable for families and groups of friends, individuals and companies. The new tricycles are easy to pedal, and you can choose between single and tandem cycles. Children up to 30 kilos can ride as passengers.

The rail tricycle season
The main season runs from the time the snow has melted and the line has been cleared, around 20 June, until the snow arrives. Rail tricycles can be hired from the Shell petrol station in Dokka. If you're coming from far away we recommend that you book in advance, tel. +47 61 11 03 75. You can bring your own helmet and high-vis vest, or you can hire all the equipment you need.
The rail tricycles are a short walk from the Shell garage, which is located on road 33, around 44 km northwest of Gjøvik and 57 km southeast of Fagernes.
