Norsk Fjellsenter is a knowledge and experience center for the national parks, and a place where people and mountains meet.
Here you can explore exhibitions about mountain nature, climate, cultural history, and outdoor life; see Norway’s largest collection of glacial-archaeological finds—objects that lay in the ice for thousands of years. Here you’ll get information and inspiration for trips in the mountains, with a focus on safety and sustainability, and you can take part in activities, courses, and lectures related to mountain knowledge.
Norsk Fjellsenter also has a shop with books and maps, gift items, local handicraft products, hiking gear, etc.
The center is located in the middle of Lom town center and is an important gateway to the mountains for both tourists and local residents. Norsk Fjellsenter is open every day all summer (from May–October), and Wednesday–Friday through the winter (approx. November–May).
