Norwegian Deer Centre

The Norwegian Deer Centre is the national competence centre for deer in Norway and is idyllically located at Kvalstad Farm on the southern side of the island. They breed red deer and fallow deer. The barn has been transformed into modern conference facilities for up to 40 people, a dining area for 140 guests, a game processing unit, and a fully equipped kitchen.

Here, you can enjoy peaceful meetings and delicious meals – undisturbed by other people or even your phone. A guided tour among the animals offers a memorable and unique experience.

Join in the deer feeding and discover their secret lives

Guided tours at the Deer Centre can be booked in advance. During the tour, you'll get to feed and even pet the deer. You’ll also visit the exhibition and learn fascinating facts about the secret life of these majestic animals – insights few people know.
