In 2026 LILLØY LINDENBERG was awarded its first Michelin Key. A Michelin Key is a prestigious distinction awarded by the Michelin Guide to exceptional hotels and accommodations, serving as the hotel equivalent of the famous Michelin Star for restaurants.

Here, life moves to a slower, saltier rhythm.

Up to 12 guests can nestle into the island's elegant embrace, spread across a beautifully restored main house and its smaller, snug sibling annex. Whether you're arriving solo to share stories with kindred strangers, or booking the whole island to disappear with your favourite few – LILLØY adapts to your rhythm.

At its heart, LILLØY is a celebration of contrasts: wild yet refined, minimal yet deeply rooted, serene yet spirited. Activities here are invitations. Take a kayak at sunrise. Plunge into the fjord after a sauna session. Join a fireside jam beneath the stars. Or simply do nothing at all, which is always encouraged.

Led by chef Antje de Vries, the island kitchen is more than a place to fill your belly – it's a gathering ground for the senses. Ingredients are foraged, fermented, or pulled from our very own underwater seaweed farm. Dishes are plant-based and seasonal, served on handmade ceramics and glassware that feel like part of the land itself.

For a deeper dive into culinary communion, join the KELP CLUB: a roving supperclub that begins with a boat ride and ends with a 9-course odyssey of fire-cooked, foraged, and fermented delights. Think kelp broth, smoked roots, and vegetable alchemy. And yes — you can even stay the night.

Prefer to cook your own feast? The Island Shop stocks Antje's hand-picked ingredients, many of which come from just a stone's throw away.

Art has its place here, too.

Through the LILLØY Artist Residency, creatives are invited to unplug from noise and plug into nature. Here, the wind whistles inspiration, and the waves write the score. While the focus is music, the real invitation is to experiment, collaborate, and create without boundaries – no genres, no rules, just raw, fertile freedom.

From Bergen, your journey begins with a car ride and a quick boat ride, whisking you from city bustle to island hush in under an hour. The crossing is as calming as the destination itself.
