Jærruta

Jærruta is a suggestion for a 4-days' bike tour for the entire family. It covers the whole of Jæren between Sola and Egersund. You can choose to bike southwards from Sola or northwards from Egersund. The stages are short, and it is possible with other activities along the route

14 miles on pleasant roads in open countryside. The Jærruta is a bicycle ride for the whole family, and goes on a mix of bike paths and low-traffic roads. From a bicycle seat you will come close to Jæren, the light, the landscape, the people and the animals. The North Sea and the endless horizon that lies out there as the sea ends. Lower your shoulders, allow the impressions to flow in and charge the batteries.
The route goes from Sola to Eigersund through the municipalities of Klepp, Time and Hå. There are up to four stages with three nights. You will find great tips for accommodation, dining and activities in the interactive maps of each of the stages on the Jærruta website. There are also several detours along the way.

Kleppruta: Sola-Bryne - 59 km
Timeruta: Bryne-Holmavatn - 28,5 km
Håruta: Holmavatn-Sirevåg - 30 km
Eigersundruta: Sirevåg-Egersund - 22 km

Cycling Packages
Is it tempting to get to a covered table? To make it easier and more affordable for you, complete packages of accommodation, food and rental bicycles are offered. Simply everything you need to have an unforgettable trip on Jæren. The bicycle packages consist of one to three nights and are a great alternative for larger groups as well, since you can adjust your bike distances according to how far each individual will ride. Bicycle rental
If you arrive by plane and start your trip at Sola, you can contact Norway Bike Rental for bicycle rental that can deliver bicycles at the airport. If you follow the route all the way to Egersund, you can take your bike with you on the train back north. If you start from the south, you can rent a bike from Egersund tourist information. At Jæren you can rent an electric bike at Travel Event. Pick up / deliver your bikes at Bryne Kro & Hotell or Grand Hotell in Egersund. Delivery / pickup need not be in the same place.
