Hildur’s Urterarium (herbarium) is a place with a distinct atmosphere, and the work of three generations! The hosts treat their guests as part of a large family – and you are essentially invited into their home.
Ever since the Viking era, this has been a place where people have gathered. Today, people come to Hildur’s to enjoy great food and good company, and to explore the beautiful herb gardens.
The meat served here is from the neighbour’s farm or the wild forest, the fish is fresh from the fjord, and the herbs fresh from the garden. The year-round restaurant is renowned for its seven-course lunch menu. In addition, there are various culinary-themed evenings throughout the year – for example a seafood banquet, a beef evening, Italian evening, a lutefisk evening, and a traditional Christmas feast. Table reservations should be made at least a day in advance.
