Åndalsnes

Mountain hike with spectacular views
This trip is classified as a moderate hike. The last stretch is quite steep, but still manageable. When you reach about 430 masl the trail steepens into stone steps, where the path is made durable thanks to wonderful pieces of stone construction works by Nepalese Sherpas. Worth a study itself, called Romsdalstrappa. 20 minutes from the top you will pass the airy viewpoint Rampestreken. This is a populare photostop, and you might meet some que to enter the viewpoint during the main summer season.
The steps provide a solid path most of the way to the top. Is well marked with signposts and red marks painted on trees and rocks. You'll be updated with signs telling you the elevation every 100 height-meters from the goal. The view on top of Nesakskla (715 masl) is fantastic. The locals love this hike, and they often do this for exercising to be rewarded with a magnificent, breathtaking view. From top of Nesaksla you have a 360 degrees view.
Gondola and Restaurant
Remember to bring plenty of water and use footwear suitable for a solid hike. Estimated time without any rush to reach the viewpoint is about 2 hours. Return time is about 1 hour. Nesaksla to Åndalsnes is the last leg of the hiking route Romsdalseggen. When you meet people with climbing harness and helmets, they have surely been climbin the Romstalsstige Via Ferrata. When reaching the top you will arrive at Eggen Restaurant an the return point for the Romsdal Gondola.
