The camp site is idyllically situated down by the fjord with its own wharf and leisure boat harbour. Boats with motors available for hire. Panorama view of the fairway used by more than 100 cruise ships that visit Hellesylt each summer.
The Geirangerfjord and district is now included on the UNESCO World Heritage List, and in 2006 was voted the best tourist venue by the internationally famous magazine National Geographic.
The camp site is close to the village centre, but nonetheless well-shielded and peaceful. Shops, the bank, post office, cafe and restaurant are just a 100 metre walk away. The nearest neighbour is the Peer Gynt Gallery. There is also a fine beach suitable for swimming, with a unique beach bathing hut, a short walking distance. Ferry to Geiranger 200 metres away, 8 departures daily, and a 15 minute drive to the golf course.
