Gulatinget - Modern Parliamentary Assembly
The Gulatinget millennium site features the monumental sculptures of
Bård Breivik, known as Tingveggen (assembly wall), Tinghella
(assembly flagstone) and Eldsirkelen (circle of fire). The sculptures are accompanied by tingmenn (assembly men) - individual sculptures
positioned around the landscape. The purpose of the Gulatinget
assembly was to solve conflicts via negotiation and dialogue. People can once again gather at the assembly site and discuss current affairs. This is the proud inheritance of Gulatinget. The millennium site can be used for a number of cultural and artistic performances.
