Oslo
Gjestestuene event venue
Distinguished venue for meetings, seminars, conferences, banquets, kick-offs, parties, weddings and anniversaries.
The house was built in 1917 in the Norwegian national style, and is located near Bygdø Royal Farm and the old Stave church at the Norwegian Folk Museum.
The rooms Østerdalsstua, Folkestuen, Den Blå Peisestue and Festsalen are gathered under one roof, and can be rented separately or together. Den Blå Peisestue and Festsalen must always be booked together, however.
Also available from Gjestestuene is Sæterhytten, a house from 1862 that provides a unique setting for any summer event with up to 45 guests.
The kitchen at Gjestestuene and Sæterhytten is run by TG Selskapsmat, an accomplished caterer that offers freshly prepared food and a high degree of service.
Events can be combined with tours, concerts, folk dancing and storytelling at the Norwegian Folk Museum. Gjestestuene can also organise activities like wood splitting, potato peeling, wife carrying and tours of Bygdøy peninsula.
