Gammel Erik cheese factory started as a trial project in Carlos Helguera’s kitchen in 2000 with 12 cheese moulds and a homemade cheese press. It proved so successful that Carlos opened a cheese factory in the former community centre in Namsskogan. Gammel Erik is situated by the E6 highway in the centre of Namsskogan. It’s hard to miss the large yellow building decorated with cheese holes.Welcome to our wonderful cheese factory and yellow cheese house by the E6 highway in Namsskogan.
