Einseten

DESCRIPTION:

From the centre of Odda follow route 13 towards Kinsarvik. After 7 km you reach Tyssedal, turn right towards Skjeggedal. At the top of Tyssedal, go past the soccer field and follow the road up into the mountains. Park by the Ringedalsdammen dam and walk across to the other side. Note: the road is not wide enough for two cars to pass each other. Åsen transformer station is located on the other side at about 500 metres above sea level. Follow a marked path past private cabins in Åsen. During the ascent, you will have an excellent view towards lake Ringedalsvatnet with Tyssestrengene, Trolltunga, Preikestolen and Reinanuten on the other side of the dam. Lake Mosdalstjørn is situated at 993 metres above sea level. From Mosdalsbu it will take you approximately 2 hours one way to get to the peak of Einseten.

Note: On busy days for Trolltunga, use the parking facilities for Trolltunga.
