Join us on a scenic drive to Kvaløya with the beautiful area around Sommarøy as the final destination.
This tour is operated by Destination Tromsø.
After an easy hike to Ørnfløya you will be rewarded with amazing views of white sandy beaches, turqouise waters and idyllic islands.
The tour starts from Tromsø city center where you will be picked up and taken on a scenic drive to Sommarøy (the trail starts right before the island of Sommarøy). On the way, we make a quick stop at Hella, a popular historical area along the coast. Here you will receive a lunch package to bring with you on the hike.
The hike itself is an easy hike of approximately 1 kilometre, climbing 136 meters to the top of Ørnfløya. From the top you will get breathtaking views of Sommarøy and Hillesøy and other neighbouring islands including Senja and Håja, which was the source of inspiration for the designing of the Arctic Cathedral in Tromsø.
Surrounded by these incredible views we will have enough time to eat our lunch, relax and snap some great landscape photos and portraits.
Once we have made our way back down, you will be driven back to Tromsø.
