Climbing in Sogndal

Climbing and rappel / abseiling in Sogndal can make your summer holiday even more exiting!

Exciting for the whole family!

You now have the opportunity to join a climber from Breogfjell to the local crag in Kvam. This is one of the local crags close to Sogndal and is one of the biggest crags in Norway. Here you can choose from more than 300 different routes. We can make you climbing day both hard and easy. Either way, it will be exciting and spectacular.

All our guides are passionate climbers and loves to teach climbing technique, knots and belay techniques. During this day, you have guaranteed learned a new knot, some local rockclimbing history or received feedback on climbing techniques.


Highly qualified guides and instructors

All Breogfjell Mountain Guides are qualified IFMGA Mountain Guides (called “Tindevegledere” in Norwegian) or approved in Norway by Norsk Fjellsportforum. For alpine climbing we use IFMGA mountainguides or aspirant guides only.


Food and drink

You must bring your own packed lunch. Breogfjell will bring coffee, tea and juice.


Transport

Meet your guide at "Dampskipskaien" in Sogndal downtown (Sogndal harbor/pier)


Equipment and clothing

- A small backpack (20-40L)

- Sneakers, mountain boots or climbing shoes

- Clothing for a day outdoor. If cold days or raining: insulating underwear/wool, wind/waterproof clothing

- Insulation jacket like down, primaloft or wool is nice to have when not climbing

- Thin gloves/mittens

- Lunch

- Sunglasses


Breogfjell provide safety equipment, ropes, harnesses, helmets etc.
