Boretunet is a place where your pulse lowers, chirping birds and cows mooing are the only neighbouring noise you can hear. Enjoy life on a beach pearl, not far from Stavanger, but completely in the countryside. These old wooden containers have been through several lives. They started as a floating rig in Sandnes, to house workers in connection with the construction of an oil platform. After this, the containers were converted into apartments for the municipality of Stavanger as a recycling project. The aim was to create a facility with good zones, shelters from the wind and create a sense of community living with others in one neighbourhood. But privacy and comfort were also important elements and last but not least, recycling was an important part of the project. Surfing lessons, hiking and good friends The location at Bore beach makes it perfect for those who want to learn how to surf, they offer surfing lessons all year round, have all the equipment available, walking distance to the beach, outdoor showers with hot water and good changing rooms indoors. The hosts are surfers themselves, therefore they understand what is important. The have several surfing sites nearby, both for beginners and for those who can already surf. Once here, it's also easy to visit famous attractions such as Preikestolen or Kjerag.
