Bird Box Cabin with Breathtaking Fjord Views
Nestled peacefully on a fertile islet behind Vestigården's barn, in the picturesque Lorvika region within Steinkjer municipality, you'll find the enchanting Fuglekassehytta, or Bird Box Cabin.
Far from being a simple shelter, this avian-inspired cabin offers a tranquil retreat where you can unwind by the crackling fireplace, soak in the sunken bathtub, or sit by the circular window that provides a stunning panoramic view of the fjord.
Fuglekassehytta features three comfortable sleeping quarters, accommodating up to six guests on Norwegian Jensen mattresses. You can choose to sleep with a view of the fjord, observe the woodland's wildlife, or experience a night's rest amidst treetops and under a canopy of stars in the lofty nest above.
This unique accommodation comes equipped with all modern amenities, including water and sewage facilities, as well as cozy underfloor heating. The fully-equipped kitchen includes a stovetop, microwave/oven, and dishwasher. Each morning, a carefully curated basket filled with high-quality ingredients from Trøndelag producers will be delivered to your doorstep for a delightful breakfast.
In addition to this exceptional Bird Box Cabin experience, Vestigården offers a seasonal pop-up arena on the farm and captivating forest glamping during the summer months.
