The word “Aufguss” means “to pour” in German, referring to the ritual where the sauna master pours water, ice and essential oils onto the hot stones to create waves of fragrant steam throughout the sauna. Using towels and carefully selected music, the sauna master guides guests through a multisensory experience designed to awaken the senses and create deep relaxation.
