Enjoy beach life
We are confident that Evjua Strandpark boasts one of the finest beaches and bathing places by lake Mjøsa. There is a shallow sandy beach that is great for children, a lovely lawn for sun bathing and a very popular water trampoline for the older children. If you want a cold drink or ice cream, refreshments are just a stone’s throw away.

Nature climbing park in Evjua
The climbing park is brand new and suitable for children of all ages, and also for playful adults. The park is built from natural materials and offers activities and challenges in safe surroundings.

Beach volley ball – a friendly match or noble combat
Situated between the shady pine wood and the marina, Evjua Strandpark’s beach volleyball pitch is a professionally built arena with soft sand, impeccable pitch markings and high standard nets. The pitch is available to all visitors. Balls can be hired from the boat restaurant Viken II.

Boat restaurant Viken II – relax with good food and spectacular views of Mjøsa
The old Mjøsa boat Viken II has been converted into a restaurant with a menu based on fresh and local produce, with an exciting fusion of local food traditions and modern food culture. Try our creamed pike soup or roast moose from Nordås Gårdskjøtt. We also offer a fully licensed bar and lively events such as theme nights and concerts.

The restaurant is open daily in the summer season.

Evjua’s idyllic location on the shores of lake Mjøsa makes it an ideal starting point for exploring the countryside – whether you prefer hiking, cycling, sailing or a trip in a motor boat. Experience the cultural landscape, the magnificent local farms and the soothing breeze out on Norway’s greatest lake. There are a number of geocaches in the area – can you find them all?

Boat hire
Evjua Strandpark offers a practical and safe 14-foot Alufish boat complete with fishing equipment for experienced boaters and anglers with a boat-driving licence, as well as canoes and kayaks for paddling along the shore.
