    North of Oppdal's town center lies a beautiful and sheltered cross-country skiing area, with access to Oppdal's most visited shelter – Guriberget. From the center, the trail runs northeast toward Stølen and Fagerhaug, with a large parking area by Oppdal Ski Center. The area offers a variety of nature experiences, from relaxing family trips to longer routes such as Stavsjøen, Fjellskolen, and the circular trail Vora Rundt. The trail network can also be accessed from Fagerhaug.

    North of Oppdal’s town center, you’ll find a beautiful and sheltered cross-country skiing area. Here, you can also visit Oppdal’s most popular lean-to shelter – Guriberget.

    From the center of Oppdal, the cross-country trail winds northeast toward Stølen and Fagerhaug. There’s a large parking area 200 meters past Stølen, near Oppdal Ski Center. This is the perfect starting point for a great cross-country experience – whether alone or with others. Enjoy grilling sausages in a sheltered forest area or feel the sense of being high up in the mountains. The Stølen and Fagerhaug areas offer a wide range of nature experiences.

    A popular destination for families with young children is Guriberget, Oppdal’s most visited shelter during winter. Other great but longer trips include Stavsjøen or Fjellskolen, with trails measuring 9 and 11.5 kilometers from Stølen, respectively. The circular route Vora Rundt is also highly recommended.
