Park at The Bolder Skylodges at Høllesli, around 10 minutes drive from Jørpeland. From Stavanger, drive through the Ryfast undersea tunnel to Solbakk and on to Høllesli.
The main season is from May - October.
At the start, the terrain is slightly hilly with many small ups and downs. The trail crosses the Lysefjord by several hundred metres and winds along mountain cliffs and gorges, including Skjerajuvet, Fantagjuvet and Fantahålå, and through magnificent scenery past countless panoramic viewpoints.
When you've walked around 4.5 kilometres, it's worth taking a photo break at ‘Fantapytten’ - Lysefjord's ‘infinity pool’.
The trail then turns away from the Lysefjord. You continue through a lush forest to Revsvatnet lake and on to the Preikestolen Basecamp.
