Lifjell Winterland – for Children and Beginners



The whole family thrives in Lifjell Winterland! Here, children and new skiers can try their hand in a safe environment. The child-friendly slope is about 350 meters long and has a simple platter lift and good visibility for parents. The perfect place to take your first turns on skis or a snowboard!

Stay comfortably and cozily in our rental cabins with a great location and sunny surroundings on the top of Lifjell. Here you can wake up to silence, fresh air, and adventurous mountain scenery.



Cross-Country Trails for All Levels



Lifjell offers 80 km of groomed cross-country trails, surrounded by magnificent high mountain nature.




  • Four child-friendly loop trails (2–3 km) on the Jønnbu plateau


  • Challenging trips in mountain terrain 1000–1100 meters above sea level.


  • Starting point from the large parking lot at Jønnbu




When the mountain weather gets rough, you'll find great alternatives in the Vihus trails – just 5 minutes away, in a more sheltered forest setting.
