With us, you can stay in your own sea cabin, cottage, apartment or overnight in our idyllic inn from 1610. Take your family or group of friends on your summer vacation. In the immediate area, there is something for every taste, whether you want to go in the woods and fields, swim, barbecue, fish, kayak, visit a “mini zoo”, eat ice cream on the harbor, bike, shop at our local shopping center, or enjoy the sunset on the terrace.

Austrheim is an hour from Bergen city center, you can come to us by express boat from Bergen which stops at Vardetangen. Alternatively, you can come by car or boat. You can dock your boat at the guest dock which has electricity and a service house available. If you would like to bring your campervan, please do so. We have electricity and parking ready for you.

KILSTRAUMEN - FURTHEST WEST IN THE COUNTRY.

Just off the seafront, near the westernmost point on Norway's mainland, Vardetangen, lies Kilstraumen Brygge. The building was renovated and expanded in 2016, with more modern facilities.

Its history can be traced back to 1610 when the first inn started. It received an alcohol serving license from King Christian quarter in Copenhagen. In the 400 years that followed, it has been a guesthouse and pub. Later, it was a restaurant, and a shop selling oil and gasoline. Kilstraumen also has a history as a legislative assembly. In addition, the area itself has a rich and dramatic history.

Today we create good experiences for both tourists and local guests. Here you can enjoy local food after exploring activities in the surrounding area.

SALMON SAFARI – BOAT TRIP TO FISH FARM

New this year is a snow boat ride to Skjærgårdsfisk Visitor Centre at Marøy in Radøy. Together with the Skjærgårdsfisk Visitor Centre, we have a strong desire to pass on and share the tradition and knowledge of the aquaculture industry. On this tour you will see how today's salmon farming goes into practice. The company you will visit has produced salmon to an international market for over 60 years.

RESTAURANT AND PUB

At Kilstraumen Brygge we are committed to the good times. We have two great restaurants with a nice pub next to the dining room. Here you can enjoy delicious food, good service, and not least, the beautiful view. We base our menu heavily on seafood and local produce.

SUNDAY BUFFET

Kilstraumen Brygge's Sunday buffet is open every Sunday year-round. How about combining a Sunday trip to Vardetangen with our Sunday buffet?

DINING

Naustet is our main restaurant. Here we have capacity for about 120 people with lovely outdoor dining on the pier. The newly refurbished restaurant, Salongen, has a capacity of 100 people. We also offer catering and takeaway.

ACCOMODATION

Kilstraumen Brygge facilities are suitable for both weekend stays and holidays. Our 120 beds are distributed among sea cabins, cabins and apartments. In addition, we have several rooms in the Inn. Enjoy the laid-back atmosphere and waves right outside your window, whether you're alone, with your partner, or the whole family. For businesses, we can offer long-term rentals with customized prices.

GUEST HARBOR

We have a guest harbor with space for both small and large boats. You have access to sanitary facilities with WC and shower. You can get electricity, water, wifi and fuel.

CAMPER VANS

We have parking spaces for camper vans. You can connect to electricity and water supply.

HELICOPTER LANDING PAD

If you travel by air, we have prepared an approved helicopter landing pad!
