This is the starting point for ski trails that most people enjoy. For families with several pairs of skis, backpacks with food, and seating pads, it's fantastic to use Grøtsetra as a base all day. Build a snow fort, make a campfire, grill sausages, and enjoy the sun while taking turns skiing or maybe sledding on the hill.
Grøtsetra is bustling with activity when the temperature and sun cooperate, especially later in the winter. During Easter and into the spring, this is a beautiful starting point for longer trips higher up in the mountains.
