Fossheim Stone Center is a geological museum and jewelry gallery, shop, and workshop in downtown Lom. Here you’ll find the country’s largest selection of minerals and gemstones.

Fossheim Stone Center is a stone museum where a total of Norwegian minerals from just over 700 occurrences are exhibited, more than 30 different gemstone types, and 20 faceted minerals. Here you will also find the world’s oldest stone—a meteorite that is 4,600 million years old.

Fossheim Stone Center sells stone art of all kinds; everything from framed stone slabs and decorative stone to light fountains, as well as a large selection of fossils—memories from a world that once was. Several Stone Age tools (yes, they are real!) and replicas of weapons and tools from the Viking Age are also on display, such as a mammoth tooth.

The museum helps you with information on where you can find Tullite, Norway’s national stone, and with information and knowledge about the Geo Trail in Leirdalen.
