This tour starts in Tromsø. After a 60-minute scenic drive through beautiful mountains and valleys, you will arrive in the Nakkevatnet area, where your soft adventure begins.
This tour is operated by Best Arctic.
We will go on a snowshoe hike (we will show you how to use the snowshoes – it’s very easy!) and make our way to one of the easier summits.
Our hidden gem of a location is a spectacular area overlooking the snow-covered Lyngen Alps and the beautiful Ullsfjord fjord. Weather permitting, you will enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains. We will make several stops for photos and visit different Sami sites along the way.
Your local guide will share interesting insights into the Arctic environment, Sami culture, and history, with a particular focus on the Coastal Sami in Norway. Who are the Sami people? Where do they live? These are some of the questions that will be answered during the tour.
