Welcome to the concert series Vår Frue on Saturday! On May 23rd, we look forward to hearing Ragnar Rasmussen and Knut Størdal!
Ragnar Rasmussen is a professor of choral conducting at the Department of Music, NTNU. Today he is the artistic director of the international Utopia & Reality Chamber Choir and Nidaros Vokal. He has guest-conducted and conducted a large number of choirs and several orchestras, and has toured in a number of countries in Europe, Asia and America. Knut Størdal is a musician and cultural director at Vår Frue – övän kirke, as well as a teacher at the Department of Music, NTNU.
At the concert you will hear the two colleagues perform on a variety of instruments, such as the hurdy gurdy, tree organ, piano, Hammond organ and pipe organ. The music lies in the landscape between folk music, hymns and jazz.
